Live your dream and share your passion

Posted on: February 19th, 2014 by | Posted in blog
"This is your life. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don't like something, change it. If you don't like your job, quit. If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, life is simple. All emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them so go out and start creating. Life is short. Live your dream and share your passion." - http://holstee.com/pages/manifesto

This is the Holstee Manifesto, something that has helped me amp up my passion:

“This is your life. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don’t like something, change it. If you don’t like your job, quit. If you don’t have enough time, stop watching TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, life is simple. All emotions are beautiful.

If You Open an Email, You Can Give Away Your Location!

The first is regarding email etiquette and privacy.  You might not know it, but there is software out there that will track your email usage.  When people use this software, often times they can see what time your checking email and even what locations.  Good defense against this is to use a proxy to conceal your IP address, or a virtual private network (VPN).

The Brand Called You

Posted on: January 27th, 2014 by | Posted in blog

You might be tempted to brand yourself as your business… This can work well if you are a celebrity, or in a business/industry that requires your customers to know who you are.      ex) For example if your name is John, and you call your business “John’s Real Estate”

However, before you decide to use your name as the business name you should consider these negative aspects that can make “Brand You” a nightmare:

1) It can be difficult to sell your company in the future.

– You may be required to sign a contract to serve as a brand ambassador for your company.
